Apple Text
This tutorial takes you through the steps of creating some cool looking red apple/cherry text.

Create Some Text

Create some text. I used the Arial Black font with size 72.




Open the Character panel by going to Window > Character.




Change the AV setting to -150. Leave everything else.




You should have something like this:






Gradient Overlay

Double click on the Apple Text layer to bring up the layer style panel. Go down to Gradient overlay and select it. Make sure that the box next to the text Gradient Overlay is ticked.

Click on the Black and White gradient and use these Gradient settings:




And then use these settings for the general Gradient Overlay:






Stroke

Now add a stroke with these settings:






Outer Glow

Now add an Outer Glow with these settings:






Inner Shadow

Now add an Inner Shadow with these settings:






Inner Glow

And finally add an Inner Glow with these settings:
