First start off by making a new 350 x 350 px document Fill the background with #3b4145
Set your colors like so:
Now get the ellipticle marquee tool and set the Style to Fixed Aspect Ratio
Make a circle selection, about 200 px in size
First make a new layer then get the gradient tool out and made sure its set to 'Foreground to Background' meaning Dark to light and whilst holding shift drag from above your selection to under it
Get the dodge tool out
and use these settings
Now hold down your left mouse button near the bottom of the orb, taking note the selection is still there Click just once in a few more random spots
Up the top of photoshop near Filter, click Select > Modify > Contract and use 2 px Press D then X and get the gradient tool out again, now use 'White to transparent'
Make a new layer and while holding shift click above the selection of your orb and drag into the middle Then make another new layer and do the same, but this time make it a bit longer Use the move tool to drag this to the top left area of the orb
Set the layer mode for the second 'shine' layer to Overlay and the opacity to 55% Leave the layer mode for the first 'shine' layer on normal but change the layer opacity to 85% Click on the first main orb layer and goto Select > Load Selection then right click the selection and select 'Select Inverse' then goto the 2nd 'shine' layer and press delete
On the main orb layer use these blending options
